Thanks for joining me in the Self Management Week.

Here’s an example of a Nature Connection for Wellbeing video from the online course Coming to Our Senses. It contains the instructions for a sensory activity, to practise in your neighbourhood.

By relating through our physical senses (sight, hearing, touch, and smell), we drop our habit of endless thinking, and sink into a light restful state of mind. We become absorbed, calm and relaxed. This way of being is highly beneficial for our health and wellbeing, and even 20 minutes is known to have lasting benefits.

The Texture Palette

I invite you to explore nature through your sense of touch, and discover the intriguing effect this almost childlike activity has on our focus and sense of calm. Modern-day life has a way of dulling our sense of touch, and it is often a revelation for people to rediscover their sensitivity.

This is one of my favourite Nature Connection activities which I never tire of. It is so simple, and the magic is in doing it. I hope you’ll find it as delightful as I do.
